Today, I am grateful for the opportunity to train with amazing coaches and players. In the morning, I am going to talk to one of my coaches about creating a checklist. On the list, I will write the things that I want to accomplish in this tournament. They should be straightforward things where after each match I should be able to say that I executed or didn't execute my gameplan for how I want to play with the checklist.

I have an obligation to my parents, my coaches, and my future self to practice what I want to do in the tournament and how much effort I want to give to deal with my emotions. When I get nervous today, I will remind myself that all the matches that I am playing are just practice for when am older. I will recognize that if I am able to execute how I want to play and lose, it will be more productive than playing scared and winning because I didn't give effort to process.

My coaching voice will remind me that no one match will make or break my career. I am only playing matches to practice playing how I want to in a few years. The only thing that can go wrong is me not putting the effort to invest in my future. I will also reward myself and encourage myself in my mind if I play the right way but lose the point. I need to re-wire my brain to be OK with good misses.
