Today, I have an important challenge. It will be very mentally and emotionally challenging and I will have to dig deep to keep myself positive and calm. Neither of us played yesterday because it rained all day, so I won't use this as an excuse- he dealt with the same conditions as I did. Like last time, he will try to get in my head and try to play mind games. I will recognize that he is doing it on purpose and I won't reward him with a reaction. My thinker will refocus me to my game plan. My plan is very simple: I am just going to move him side to side with good margins. He is not going to hit any dangerous balls to hurt me, and this strategy worked very well last time. The most major improvement I would like to make from last time is keeping my focus very strong for the full match. He is mentally tough and he won't ever go away, so I need to stay tough and not given(?) him chances. My hitter will be okay with making some mistakes, as I haven't played. I will respond by bringing in my margins until I feel more comfortable.
