Today, I am playing States. In my first match, I am playing someone who I will most likely beat. However, I am never guaranteed to win anything. I am ready to compete and fight the whole match, and while winning and losing is out of my control, I will control my attitude and I will not take anything for granted. It is important that I act in a way that respects my opponent and the sport and represents myself and my team well. This is not the decider of my tennis career. It is a very important tournament, and I will compete hard for it, but I will not put unnecessary pressure on myself.
