Today, I am grateful for the opportunity to train with amazing coaches and players. Yesterday, I was able to play much more confident in my next three matches. I didn't care too much about winning the matches because I felt like the consolation didn't matter after I got tight again in my first match and let it affect my play. This attitude allowed me to play only to prove to myself that I can play how I want to play and I won all three matches and the consolation. Today, I want to stay positive when I play and forget about this weekend. I am playing a tournament next weekend and so I will have another chance to play freely.
I have an obligation to my future self to be optimistic when I play today. I get chances to practice playing freely while under pressure every day. If I don't practice a good attitude with good intentions now, I won't be able to in a tournament either.
My coaching voice will remind me that competition is a way to understand and improve who I am. I will focus on what I have control over today. I know that there is no reason to be afraid. No matter what happens, nothing bad will happen and I will get another chance the next day.
