Today, I am getting the opportunity to play in a tournament. It is a chance to practice the things I work on in practice, nothing more, nothing less. If I win the tournament by camping behind the baseline and never coming in, it won't be a success, I wouldn't have improved what I'm working on at all. There is no reason to be worried whether I win or lose, because that is not my main focus.

I am grateful to my parents and my coaches to have this amazing opportunity. I have been able to train all week and now I get to try my best to apply it. I am appreciative and I will use this to fuel me to give my best effort physically, emotionally, strategically, and tactically.

My coaching voice will remind me that mistakes are normal. I am working on something that I don't often do so it is okay if it's not perfect.
