Today, I am training with amazing coaches and players. I anticipate that I might be nervous today in training because I have a tournament tomorrow. However, this is the perfect practice for dealing with it how I want to in the tournament. It is in my control how I play. I will be aggressive and I will attack the ball to the corners. I am okay with losing today if I play with the right intentions because I know that this is just practice for tomorrow.
I have an obligation to my parents, my coaches, and my future self to play aggressively and confidently. I have nothing to lose. I am learning how I want to play when I'm older. I am going to be positive and encourage myself when I miss with the right intentions. This is something important which I didn't do yesterday. When I would set up a good point and miss, I would be frustrated, not happy that I did the right thing.
My coaching voice will remind me that my intentions are all that matters, not the outcomes. Whether I win or lose has no real effect, but how I play does.
